Celebrity Collage by MyHeritage

DON'T CLICK ON IT. It will just take you to there stupid site...so I guess if you want to go there go ahead and click on it. But anyway, I was just happy a computer thought I looked like Alan Rickman.

PS Incredibly disappointed I looked like someone from Linkin Park.

MyHeritage: Family tree - Genealogy - Celebrity

PS I really hope I age as well as Alan Rickman.

So I want to do a video series called Drinking with BSDPunk a begginers guide to python...but

I want to do video tutorials for python, for my readers. Ok Ok I hear criticism from my fans, why why not perl. Well I am pretty ok with perl, and I am trying to hone another skill to increase my skillset. That being said I want to teach python as I learn. So this video would entail a drunken youtubed BSDPunk teaching python, however I am incredibly busy, but I could make time if the interest is there. So if you want this series to happen I need some comments or something to let me know more than EdgeX- would watch.

Spike IRC NXT Mindstorm Video, using perl bot

So this video doesn't really show much, but whatevs. I will hopefully have the cleaned up code with a few new functions posted tomorrow.

How to install FreeBSD youtube video by BSDPunk

I made this video really quickly, to show how to install FreeBSD. I tried to cut my rambling out, but may have made the video less coherent in doing so. Anyways, enjoy the goodness. I installed it on vmware fusion for the mac but the install is identical on a machine and pretty close on any vmware product. Don't use virtual box yet, it has freebsd bugs.

HackForums.net was rooted and 9unkz0r IRC went down

On the 14th hackforums.net was rooted, through what the administrator said was an old script with an easy exploit. They were able to run a shell according to the administrator. Hackertopsites.com which is run on the same box had links to the attackers site c0rrupt.org/side. Not that long after irc.9unkz0r.com came under a ddos attack by a user with the handle uid0. It is not known whether these are related. The IRC server is still being "quarantined" by routing the majority of packets to /dev/null. However some users are able to log on, if you just happen to be one of the routes that is still up. It is unknown how long this outage will last. I also received a 514 message e-mail bomb. Luckily gmail grouped them all together.

AS OF SEPTEMBER 30TH 2009 THERE IS NO HACKFORUMS, in leiu please go to http://malvager.com

BSD Punk Band

BSD(Burn subvert Destroy) has nothing to do with the operating system, however they do have to do with some kick ass punk. I noticed about 6 months ago when I got a myspace for the blog and saw that http://myspace.com/bsdpunk was taken. I was talking to a friend this morning and remembered them so I cranked it up, because it isn't awkward enough with the new roomies yet that I have to blair punk music on a frickin' Sunday morning. There main myspace page is a bit better. So check out BURN SUBVERT AND DESTROY. Also following them around the intarweb, it looks like I ran into quite an interesting DIY Music site.

Hacker Culture Blog Windows Vista Gadget

New BSDPunk Windows Vista Gadget. To install it unzip that file into a directory called dj.gadget in:
%userprofile%\appdata\local\microsoft\windows sidebar\gadgets
So basically when you are done the three files are in:
%userprofile%\appdata\local\microsoft\windows sidebar\gadgets\dj.gadget
Then just go to your windows sidebar and hit the plus button and it should be in the list.

Wait a minute...What the fuck does it do? So you guys can take it apart and look at it but basically it's just a link and then some ajax bullshit that goes to my page so I can say if I am djing or not...ok so why not just call it the BSDPunk DJ gadget? Well because of ajax magic I can really put any sort of web information into the gadget, like updates about blog posts or just like a one way twitter or something, or I could but like vb shit in there and give you guys weird different kinds of functionality every week! So what's it do, I don't know. Just install it if you use gadgets and we can figure out together. Oh hey and if you want to create your own gadgets check here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/topics/vista/gadgets-pt1.mspx

And I was having trouble with my xml file because of encoding or something so if you make one and you go to add it to your sidebar and it isn't showing up in your sidebar, download the sample one from here:
http://www.danielmoth.com/Blog/2006/10/vista-sample-sidebar-gadget.html
And just edit it.

PS I made another Ann Arbor Post on wereboobs.

My tutorials and such

So all the tutorials, attacks, and defenses I post, I have done, and tested. Now that's not to say that the posts are error free. Sometimes I forget to write a step or my environment is unique. So when I post links to other sites that have Tutorials or ideas, it means, that I probably didn't have the time or couldn't afford the equipment to get it to work. That being said here are a few things you guys might want to check out.

Wifi Jamming

Ok Ok this one is old as shit. So old it was featured on law on order....but hell even Cory Doctorow made CSI.

No one should have time for this.

SEO Question for the readership

So I am looking at the google search terms that people have found my site with and the number one is: bsd punk, ok this makes sense to me. However, number two and three are:
dsniff windows and powershell. Someone want to help me out with this. SEO isn't my strong point, but ummm...come on.
